Popular Nigerian influencer, Saida Boj, has openly appealed to Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, urging him to take full responsibility for the welfare and education of the children of late Ruth, who tragically lost her life in an accident involving one of Dangote’s trucks.
The tragic incident, which occurred on Sunday, has continued to draw emotional reactions from the public, especially after it was confirmed that Phyna’s sister passed away due to severe injuries sustained in the accident. The devastating loss has left Ruth’s children without their mother, raising concerns about their future.
In a heartfelt statement, Saida Boj stressed that the least Dangote could do to show genuine remorse was to ensure that Ruth’s children not only complete their education but also have a secure future. She argued that given the circumstances of their mother’s death, taking on the responsibility for their education or adopting them as his own would be a fair and compassionate gesture.
Expressing her emotions, she said: “I want to tell this to Dangote as a person. I feel that the least you can do is to train Ruth’s children through school and make sure they get good jobs after school. That is the only way to say sorry. This is a young girl who just finished school, who just finished serving just crushed away by one of your drivers. In fact, you suppose adopt those children because their mother was taken away from them against their will.”
Her comments have since gone viral, sparking a wave of online debates, with many Nigerians supporting her stance, while others questioned whether such responsibility should rest solely on Dangote. Nonetheless, the call has amplified pressure on the billionaire businessman to take action that will directly impact the lives of the grieving children.
