Popular Afrobeat singer, Michael Adebayo Olayinka, better known as Ruger, has candidly shared his reasons for pursuing multiple relationships simultaneously, citing his aversion to "being alone or single" as a key motivator.
The singer, who previously acknowledged his own toxicity in past relationships, made this revelation during a recent episode of the Afrobeats Podcast hosted by Adesope Olajide. In this conversation, Ruger described dating multiple women as "fun" and explained his approach to managing these relationships.
He stated, "
Dating more than three or four women at the same time is fun in a way. There is a way I patterned these things [laughs].
Ruger went on to express his discomfort with solitude, emphasizing his preference for companionship, whether in a committed relationship or otherwise. He shared, "
I don't like being alone, I can't lie. I don't like being alone or single. I like to be with someone whether it's a relationship or just something. I just like being with someone. So, if we break up today, there's another person filling up that space. I can't be alone. I don't like being alone. I love to have someone I can just be with and just vibe."
Interestingly, Ruger acknowledged that despite his unconventional approach to relationships and his admission of treating women without emotional attachment, they continue to be drawn to him. He attributed this phenomenon to the notion that "ladies are attracted to what's not good for them."
