Popular Nigerian singer and Afrobeats award winner, Divine Ikubor, a.k.a Rema, has revealed that he wants to collaborate with more female American superstars like Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion.
Rema, who made this known in an interview with Hollywood Reporter at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards in New Jersey, on Tuesday specifically said he wants to work with female celebrities more.
He mentioned rappers, Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion as some of those he is looking forward to working with soon.
He said, “I’m hoping to meet Meg [Thee Stallion], Nicki [Minaj] for possible collaborations. Who else? Yeah, I wanna link up with girls dem.”
This is coming on the heels of the success of his smash-hit with Selena Gomez, ‘Calm Down.’
Recall that Rema beat Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy and others to become the first-ever winner of the newly created “Best Afrobeats Song” during the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, USA, on Tuesday.
