Renowned actress, Regina Askia, has weighed in on the ongoing family dispute involving actor Emeka Ike, his wife, and son. Sharing insights from her experience working with Emeka Ike, Regina commented on the actor's recent public turmoil during a live session on Daddy Freeze's Instagram.
Emeka Ike has been in the spotlight since discussing his divorce from ex-wife Suzanne, accusing her of extortion and attributing his losses to her actions. Suzanne countered, alleging verbal and physical mistreatment, while their son Michael claimed his father had made distressing statements to him.
Adding her perspective, Regina Askia emphasized the pain of betrayal by those one has sacrificed for. Speaking during the Instagram live session, she stated, "It’s so shocking when you leave a society like Nigeria and have to adapt to a society that is very different from yours, and you have to take into consideration what that man is going through. I am not supporting violence in any way, but you have to consider what that man is going through for real.
“You know I used to work with Emeka Ike, and I never met his wife, I don’t know his son, but I know family dynamics that can push you to something like that, and there is no deeper hurt than when people you have sacrificed your life, your savings, everything for kinda turn on you. It’s sad. I hope that they find a way to make it up to each other, maybe apologize father to son and pull through.”
