Nigerian comedienne, Real Warri Pikin, recently opened up about a distressing period in her life when she found herself contemplating suicide in 2018. Real Warri Pikin, whose real name is Anita Alaire Afoke Asuoha, gained attention alongside her husband Ikechukwu as they celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows and reaffirming their love for each other.
During an interview with media personality Chude, Real Warri Pikin revealed the reasons behind her attempted suicide. She shared that between 2017 and 2018, she and her husband were burdened with significant financial difficulties and mounting debts that they were unable to pay. The weight of this situation pushed her to the point where she felt compelled to take her own life, but fortunately, her attempt was unsuccessful.
Following the incident, Real Warri Pikin was rushed to three different hospitals for medical attention. Reflecting on the experience, she expressed her astonishment and gratitude for surviving, believing that God spared her life for a purpose. She resolved to utilize her story as a means of helping others facing similar struggles, rather than keeping it to herself.
Real Warri Pikin acknowledged that sharing her story online would be the quickest and most effective way to reach out and support those in need. Despite having a low-quality mobile phone at the time, she was determined to use the platform available to her. She humorously remarked on the condition of her face, likening it to a burnt goat.
