Phyna, the winner of Big Brother Naija season 7, has revealed in an interview with media personality Toke Makinwa that her relationship with Groovy, her fellow housemate, was just a game.
Phyna and Groovy had started a romantic relationship while in the Big Brother Naija house, after Groovy's failed relationship with another housemate, Beauty Tukura. Phyna received backlash for moving on with Groovy after Beauty's disqualification since she appeared to be friends with Beauty. However, in March 2023, Phyna shared a post suggesting she was single, which made fans curious about what had happened between her and Groovy. In the interview with Toke Makinwa, Phyna said, "We were never dating, we were playing a game."
