Peggy Ovire, the wife of Nollywood actor Frederick Leonard, has taken issue with Kiekie's advice on women splitting bills with their husbands.
Kiekie's controversial remarks during an interview sparked a significant response, with the media personality suggesting that she wouldn't live in a house where she doesn't contribute to rent and financially support her husband.
The comedienne, who married Shonaola Ilori in February 2020, made these statements on a podcast hosted by media personality Toke Makinwa.
Kiekie argued that women should share expenses with their husbands, as it eases the financial burden of running a household.
However, Peggy Ovire, Frederick Leonard's wife, took to Instagram to address the issue. She suggested that Kiekie should admit she earns more than her husband, which is why she shares the bills.
Peggy declared that her husband wouldn't let her pay any bills and emphasized that her role is to take care of the home and be available for emergencies.
She wrote, "Just say you earn more than your husband, Kikie, then bill sharing is a Must. It is my husband's responsibility to pay the bills, especially since he can afford it. Mine is to take care of the home & be there for emergency cases. My man won't even let me pay jack."
