Popular talent manager, Paulo Okoye believes this year 2024 will be a tough year for Afrobeat, stating his reasons.
The music executive claimed on his Instagram story that this year is problematic for Nigerian artists, except for Burna Boy and Davido, who have performed sporadically.
He said other artists are either overpriced or their tickets are not selling because they price themselves out of the market.
In his words: “Tough time for Afrobeat (A & B & C class )Artist Price themselves Out of the Market No Much Shows + Global Economy is not Laughing as Well God help Us. 2024 will be tough tough Year for Afrobeat !!! Apart from 2 Artists This Year (BurnaBoy and David0) They did few shows Others are in trouble Either they over Priced Or tickets are not Selling Hmmmm Let Us NOT do what happen to Reggae Musicians Reduce Your Prices Just Think How many show you did this YEAR ????”
