His remarks stem from a disturbing video featuring Akwa Ibom-based lawyer Ekere Ebong, caught brutally abusing his wife at night, sparking public outrage.

Fabiyi asserts that many parents prioritize social media over parenting, leading to a lack of discipline in today's youth. He finds the idea of men assaulting their wives repulsive and advises against forgiveness for such acts.

“Marriage is not for everybody. Only a few have gone through proper home training lately. Most parents are on social media more than in the lives of their children and teenagers. These wards are on several toxic and criminal blogs every minute they are awake,” he remarks.

He condemns domestic violence, especially instances where men physically assault their partners, advocating for immediate separation in such cases. Fabiyi underscores the long-term detrimental effects on children, condemning violence as a means of issue resolution. He discourages reconciliation after domestic violence and urges involving the police when necessary.

“Violence will never produce love. Love, don’t stay where it is tolerated. Love, don’t grow where it hurts,” he concludes.
