Ossai Ovie Success, the aide to Delta State governor, has openly criticized actor Zubby Michael over the outfit he wore to the funeral of his late colleague, Junior Pope. Ossai expressed his views through a detailed post on social media, sparking reactions from the public.
Junior Pope, who tragically died in a boating accident along with other crew members on April 10, 2024, was laid to rest today in Enugu State. The funeral was attended by many of his colleagues from the entertainment industry, paying their last respects to the beloved actor.
However, Ossai was displeased with Zubby Michael’s choice of attire, a red t-shirt, calling it disrespectful and inappropriate for the funeral.
He stated that considering Junior Pope’s young age at his death, Zubby’s clothing was unsuitable for the occasion.
Ossai expressed his disappointment with Zubby Michael, suggesting that a white or black outfit would have been more appropriate.
In his words: “This is disrespectful to late Jnr Pope. Dear Zubby Michael, this your red dressing is inappropriate. This your red t shirt dressing to the burial ceremony of late Jr Pope is annoying and disrespectful to Jnr Pope. Jnr Pope was so young when he di*d and doesn’t deserved you putting on red dressing to his burial ceremony. The burial ceremony calls for a sober reflection and not a celebration party ground. You could have gone there putting on black or white dressing . I am disappointed though you are a good guy and I so much love watching your movies .I know you did this in an error and I know you will Change next time . One love bro”
