Controversial singer, Azeez Fashola, widely known as Naira Marley, and his business associate, Balogun Samson, aka Sam Larry, have been released from prison following the successful fulfilment of their bail conditions.
The news was confirmed by the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, on Friday.
In a concise statement, Hundeyin announced, “Naira Marley and Sammy Larry, having met their bail conditions, have been released.”
This development follows the duo's compliance with the bail conditions set by a Lagos State Magistrates’ Court. The court granted them bail on Monday, November 6, with a requirement of N20 million and three responsible sureties.
“As part of the bail conditions, the defendants are to surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department,” ruled the court.
It's important to note that both Naira Marley and Sam Larry were initially remanded in prison as suspects in the ongoing case related to the alleged murder of Marlian Records' former signee, Aloba Imole, popularly known as Mohbad.
