The management of the late singer, Mohbad, has reportedly taken legal action against Mohbad’s father, filing a defamation lawsuit. The management is seeking the withdrawal of the father's alleged slanderous statements and demanding an apology. They have also reportedly demanded the payment of N200 million in damages.
Mohbad's father had earlier claimed in an interview with TVC that his late 26-year-old son had a thumbprinted will, an assertion the management vehemently denied in an earlier statement. The legal letter allegedly sent by Mohbad’s management through their lawyers indicates that the father is being sued, and they are demanding an apology along with the withdrawal of the disputed statements.
In addition to seeking the apology and retraction, Mohbad's management is reportedly pursuing the sum of N200 million as compensation for damages caused by the alleged defamation.
