Big Brother Naija star, Mercy Eke, has shared her reasons for undergoing body enhancement surgery and discussed its impact on her personal life in a recent interview.
In a detailed conversation with Kenny’s Glow, Mercy Eke revealed that she opted for body enhancement surgery in 2018, citing the influence of the prevailing trend as a major factor in her decision. The choice to undergo the procedure was motivated by the desire to align with the popular aesthetic standards of the time.
Mercy Eke opened up about her experience after the BBL surgery and cited her fashion brand as a motivating factor.
The reality star clarified that she didn’t undergo the surgery to enhance her physique and revealed that it was a one-time procedure.
In her words, “It was the trend at the time; maybe peer pressure and everybody was doing it. My body was not that bad, I had a beautiful body but maybe the stomach was a little big. I was really scared then.”
“I didn’t tell my mom because I didn’t want anybody to discourage me. It was me and friends; we planned it and paid for it and the three of us did it together.”
The interviewer was impressed by Mercy Eke’s figure and admitted she aspires to age as well as the reality star.
She further highlighted the struggle following the procedure and the pain she endured before completely healing.
Mercy added, “The fact that you won’t sleep with your butt for 14 days. And when you wake up from surgery, you cry for three days.”
