Lucy Edet clarifies she didn't say Nengi had a fake body, after receiving backlash for shading Nengi over body enhancement

Lucy Edet, a former participant of the Nigerian reality show, BBNaija, has defended herself against criticism after undergoing body enhancement surgery. 

Lucy had been trolled for attacking her colleague, Nengi Hampson, over her body in the house, only to later undergo the same surgery. However, Lucy claimed she never insulted Nengi over her body and did not know what surgery-enhanced bodies looked like at the time. She stated that she only became aware of the procedure when another friend had it done this year. Lucy further noted that she could not convince anyone to believe her, but she could only speak her truth.

Lucy, in her defence, made it clear that she never trolled Nengi or called her body fake. According to her, she didn’t even know what a surgery body looked like then.

In her words:

“There is a matter I would love to address but it would just open a Pandora box. I had never in my life seen what a surgery body was like in my entire existence before going into the house.

“I heard lipo for the first time when Ka3na talked about it. I still don’t understand the process till this year when my friend got it done. I can’t convince you on what to believe. I can only tell my truth.

“There’s no way I could have said Nengi’s body was fake. I never even saw what a surgery body looked like then.”
