Legendary Japanese wrestler Yutaka Yoshie has reportedly passed away just hours after his final match at the Takasaki tournament.
The 50-year-old, who began his illustrious career in 1994, was set to celebrate three decades in the ring this December.
Yutaka Yoshie’s tragic demise was confirmed by All Japan Pro Wrestling [/b](AJPW), the organization under which he wrestled his final bout.
According to reports, his health took a sudden and unexpected downturn after the match ended, leading to his urgent hospitalization.
The one-time AJPW World Tag Team Champion had participated in the Takasaki tournament, and it was in the locker room post his final match that he fell seriously ill.
“After Yutaka Yoshie returned to the waiting room after the game, his condition suddenly deteriorated, and he was rushed to a hospital in Takasaki City, but he never returned home.” the statement read.
