Lagos Police: Missing Odera Mbadiwe found in Mile 2, distressed

The Lagos State Police Command has officially announced that Odera Gregory Mbadiwe, younger brother of popular reality TV twins Ocee and Ozee Mbadiwe, who was earlier declared missing, has now been found alive. The news has brought relief to both his family and well-wishers after days of anxiety and concern over his whereabouts.

According to an official statement issued by the Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Babaseyi Oluseyi, the case was first reported on September 1, 2025, when Odera left his father’s residence in Victoria Island driving a Nissan 350Z Convertible. However, he never returned home, prompting his family to raise alarm. Following fruitless personal searches, a formal missing person’s report was filed at the Victoria Island Police Division on September 3, 2025.

In the statement, DSP Oluseyi explained that the Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, immediately ordered a discreet yet thorough investigation into the sudden disappearance. Acting swiftly on credible intelligence gathered with the support of community members, officers traced Odera to the Mile 2 axis of Lagos State. He was discovered alive but visibly distressed, requiring urgent medical examination and psychological support. His father’s vehicle was also recovered in the process.

The police further disclosed that Odera has since been reunited with his family and is currently undergoing medical assessment to ensure he regains full stability. The family expressed immense gratitude to the police and members of the public who provided helpful information that led to his safe recovery.

DSP Oluseyi added that the Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, commended the professionalism and quick intervention of the officers involved in the case, while also appreciating Lagos residents for their cooperation. He reassured citizens that the Command will continue to prioritize the protection of lives and property across the state. He also encouraged the public to promptly report any similar cases of disappearance, noting that swift communication remains crucial for effective police response.
