Reality TV star and writer, Alex Unusual, has shared advice with parents on how they can improve their parenting to foster kindness in their children.
In a recent Instagram post, she recounted a distressing incident from her secondary school days, where a student was severely beaten by a group of seniors until she lost consciousness.
Alex Unusual described how she had to piggyback the injured student all the way to the clinic, where she eventually collapsed from the strain of the effort. This experience led her to urge parents to focus on raising kinder children who are equipped to stand against bullying and support others.
She stated:
“I wrote a letter to you. Send this to a parent, guardian, or teacher. Tag them if you know their handles. Send it to other platforms. Show them if they are not on this platform or on social media. I’m not the nicest human on earth, but I know that kindness goes a long way.”
“Kindness starts at home. Let’s teach our children that their words hold power—to heal, to uplift, to make a difference. When we show them how to stand against bullying and stand up for others, we plant the seeds for a kinder world.”
