Renowned skit maker and brand influencer, Bukunmi Adeaga Ilori, widely known as Kiekie, recently divulged the rationale behind her choice to refrain from featuring her husband on her social media profiles.
While rumors about her marriage circulate, Kiekie clarified that her decision does not stem from a desire to hide her husband's existence. Instead, she explained that her Instagram page primarily serves as a platform for her business endeavors.
During an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Kiekie emphasized that her husband is not involved in her business and does not receive any financial compensation from her.
Consequently, she believes there is no need to showcase him on her social media accounts, which she considers primarily as avenues for promoting her professional ventures.
The skit maker, who is also an actress, revealed that she only shared posts about her husband during her daughter's pregnancy because he played a significant role in that journey.
She explained;
“I was pregnant, and I wanted to share it... It was a collaboration, and he's alive, and we're not fighting, so why not.”
When asked about celebrating her husband's birthdays, Kiekie responded by stating that she doesn't feel the need to post about him on those occasions since he isn't active on Instagram.
She expressed that she finds it more meaningful to privately convey her wishes to him, as he is physically present in her life.
Furthermore, Kiekie shared that the next time she might share photos of her husband would be when they have another child.
She jokingly added that it might take a while before her followers see him again, implying that such updates will be infrequent.
She explained;
“I’m pregnant and I wanted to share it…It was a collaboration, and he’s alive, and we’re not fighting, so why not.”
