Veteran Nigerian actor Kanayo O Kanayo has recently discussed his marriage experiences in an interview.
Appearing as a guest on Nedu’s podcast, The Honest Bunch, Kanayo opened up about the challenges he has faced in his marriage. He revealed that he has been separated from his wife for nearly four years.
During the podcast, Kanayo reflected on the concepts of marriage and divorce, sharing that his understanding of divorce changed after he moved to Lagos. He mentioned a prevalent mindset among young couples in the city that impacts marital stability.
Kanayo also noted that in his observation, many Igbo men are strongly averse to divorce. He suggested that rather than opting out of troubled marriages, many prefer to endure them despite difficulties.
