The Fountain of Life Church has officially announced Jimmy Odukoya, the son of its late founder Taiwo Odukoya, as the new Senior Pastor of the church. This significant announcement took place during a service held at the church's headquarters in Lagos on a Sunday.
During the address to the congregation, Rotimi Okpaise, a pastor at the church, revealed that before his passing, the late Taiwo Odukoya had shared his succession plan with the Board of Trustees. Following this plan, the Board of Trustees unanimously elected Jimmy to assume the role of Senior Pastor and also serve as the chairperson of the board.
In addition to his pastoral responsibilities, Jimmy Odukoya is a prominent Nollywood actor and musician, having embarked on his acting journey in 2016 with his role in 'Baby Shower.' He gained recognition for his portrayal of Oba Ade in Netflix's 'Woman King' movie and has appeared in other films such as 'Lifting the Veil,' 'I am Nazzy,' and 'Oga Pastor,' among others.
Beyond the entertainment industry, Jimmy is known for his motivational speaking, dancing skills, and dedication to fitness. In a January 2021 interview with actress Iretiola Doyle, he emphasized that being a pastor has not impacted his acting career, stating, "How does being a pastor affect my acting career? I don't believe it; some people have different opinions. One is if I am an actor, I should be a Christian actor, and I say there is no such thing."
