Nigerian singer, Jaywon, strongly criticizes compatriots who, despite the nation's economic challenges, continue to support the current government.
Protests have emerged in some parts of Nigeria in response to the prevailing economic difficulties facing the nation.
Various celebrities, including Jaywon, have voiced their concerns about the nation's hardships, the escalating dollar rate, and have called on President Bola Tinubu to intervene and address the economic crisis.
In his latest remarks, Jaywon directs his frustration at Nigerians supporting the current regime, labeling them as "fools." He challenges them to question whether the government truly cares about its citizens and highlights the disparity between rising prices and stagnant minimum wages.
His words: “SOME FOOLS ARE STILL SHOUTING AND SUPPORTING THIS GOVERNMENT. LOOK IF THIS GOVERNMENT REALLY CARES ABOUT THE PEOPLE, THE FIRST THING TO DO WILL BE FOR THEM TO REDUCE THE COST OF GOVERNANCE BUT RATHER THEY ARE LOOKING FOR A WAY TO INCREASE IT WHILE MINIMUM WAGE NO DEY EVER INCREASE NO MATTER THE SITUATION…. WE TOO MUMU FOR THIS COUNTRY.”
