Renowned Nigerian singer, Iyanya, opens up about the impact of accusations made by his former Ghanaian girlfriend and actress, Yvonne Nelson, concerning his alleged involvement with Tonto Dikeh. These claims nearly jeopardized his current romantic relationship.
Iyanya discussed this matter during his recent appearance on the "Tea With Tay" podcast, hosted by actor Temisan Emmanuel Ahwieh, also known as Taymesan.
Yvonne Nelson documented her discovery of Iyanya's alleged affair with Tonto Dikeh in a book titled 'I Am Not Yvonne Nelson,' released on June 18, 2023.
After the book's release, Iyanya shared that he was pursuing a romantic relationship with a non-famous woman, but the allegations created doubt and uncertainty in their budding connection.
"Yvonne Nelson's allegations had a profound impact, almost causing me to lose a relationship. A current relationship," he revealed.
"Before this book [Yvonne Nelson’s memoir], I was talking to one innocent girl who is not famous but immediately that book came out, everything became shaky. The girl was feeling like, 'Omo, this guy, have you changed? Are you sure you won’t do me the same?'" he explained.
