Renowned actress, Iyabo Ojo, has taken legal action against Lizzy Anjorin, filing a substantial N500 million lawsuit for alleged libel. This move comes amid an ongoing feud between the two actresses, marked by verbal spats and previous attempts from their peers to reconcile them.
The conflict escalated when Lizzy Anjorin referred to Iyabo Ojo as 'Sepeteri,' a term the latter refuted, clarifying that it is the name of a village in Nigeria. Despite this, Lizzy Anjorin persisted in using derogatory names for the actress.
Iyabo Ojo responded by initiating a lawsuit, leveling several accusations against Lizzy Anjorin. Some of the allegations outlined in the legal action include claims that Lizzy Anjorin accused Iyabo Ojo of involvement in illegal activities with her daughter, referred to her as "Sepeteri," implicated her in the death of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba (aka MOHBAD), linked her to the Gist lover blog, and made defamatory remarks about her relationships with individuals like Musiliu Akinsanya (Mc Oluomo) and Azeez Fashola (Naira Marley), among others.
In response to these accusations, Iyabo Ojo, through her legal representatives, is seeking N500 million in damages. The lawsuit alleges that Lizzy Anjorin deliberately misrepresented and recklessly tarnished Iyabo Ojo's reputation for sensationalism and increased social media traffic.
Accompanying the legal action, Iyabo Ojo shared photos on social media, providing visual evidence of the alleged defamatory statements made by Lizzy Anjorin.
Responding to inquiries about suing another individual, VeryDarkman, Iyabo Ojo urged patience, implying that further legal actions may be taken in due course.
