Iyabo Ojo, Chioma Ikokwu, and Tania Omotayo, cast members of Real Housewives of Lagos, expressed their dissatisfaction with the show organizers for omitting a reconciliation scene from the season two finale.
Iyabo Ojo took to Instagram to mock the show for its apparent bias and silence on a significant social media topic. The actress acknowledged that everyone was aware of what happened in the episode and issued a note to future participants, cautioning them about the drama that comes with reality shows.
“Trust me, we’re all aware…..Note!!! Reality shows are not for the faint at heart. Future Real Housewives, when coming on a reality show, be ready for drama, gbasgbos, and more gbasgbos…… 👌🏽.Reunion on my mind”
Chioma Ikokwu, also known as Chioma Goodhair, expressed surprise at the exclusion of their brief reunion scene from the season two finale. She suggested that it may have been omitted because it didn't fit the narrative of continuous bullying that the show had been pushing.
Chioma wrote, “Omg I think I was still “rubbing” my powder and lipgloss in the room when these pics were taken. I wonder why this didn’t cut… could it be because it wasn’t negative and we were all getting along? And it wouldn’t suit the bully/division narrative that they’ve tried so hard to push.”
Tania Omotayo expressed her displeasure with the deletion of the scene, emphasizing that it was positive and showcased the cast getting along after a challenging moment at the breakfast table. She critiqued the decision, stating, “I’m still shocked that they deleted this whole scene. After that breakfast table situation, we all had a blast and got along but they will never show that because it’s not negative… This is how the show should have ended. A complete joke”
