In a video shared on social media, Verydarkman, dressed in a uniform resembling that of a police officer and featuring a customized “VDM” tag, explained that his mission aligns more closely with that of the Nigeria Police Force—but within an online, digital context—than with traditional forms of activism. Rather than seeing himself as an activist, he identifies as an “online police,” an identity focused on promoting fair practices and exposing exploitative behavior on social media platforms.

In his own words, Verydarkman described his online presence as that of an “online police,” and noted that his efforts are primarily dedicated to addressing various forms of oppression, with particular focus on incidents involving vendors and individuals accused of taking advantage of others through deceptive practices. Through his platform, he aims to hold individuals accountable and provide a voice for those who feel unheard, particularly in cases where financial or social injustice is involved.

Verydarkman emphasized that his approach is strictly guided by evidence, explaining that he only brings attention to cases when there is sufficient proof to substantiate claims. He said that this impartial and evidence-based approach is crucial for maintaining fairness and transparency, underscoring his dedication to acting responsibly within his role.

“CSP VDM of the online division also sends a shoutout to the Nigeria Police Force for their ongoing efforts in combating corruption within Nigeria,” he captioned the post, “and I urge others to join in the fight to make Nigeria a better place for all.”
