The renowned celebrity chef and former world record holder, Hilda Baci, has responded to questions from netizens regarding her recent adjustment of her social media bio information.
Hilda Baci was only recently dethroned by Irish chef, Alan Fisher, who has now taken the title of the World record holder for the longest individual cooking marathon.
Following the announcement that Alan Fisher had become the new record holder, Hilda Baci promptly used her social media platform, X, to extend her congratulations to him.
However, many Nigerians flooded her comments section, urging her to update her bio as she no longer held the prestigious title.
While she made the necessary changes, some Nigerians continued to insist that she remained a record holder and should not have to conform.
In response to the ongoing discussion, Hilda Baci took to her X account to share her perspective:
“Just as Chef Lata respectfully acknowledged the new record holder by updating her bio and later fine-tuning the wording, I've adjusted mine too. Achieving such a record is no small feat, and I know this firsthand. I have only the greatest admiration for the hard work it took for Alan to reach such heights. Sportsmanship is about recognizing progress, whether the accolade is in my bio or not. I remain a record holder in spirit and in history. Let's celebrate achievement and the spirit of competition.”
