Elozonam Ogbolu, a former Big Brother reality star and popular content creator, recently expressed his preference for marrying a village girl over Lagos girls. During his appearance as a guest on the Is This Seat Taken podcast, hosted by actress Chinasa Anukam, Elozonam shared his thoughts on the dating scene in Lagos.
Elozonam candidly stated that he might consider marrying a village girl because, in his opinion, many Lagos girls have become part of a social circle where they date the same people, leading to what he describes as a "cesspool" of connections. He expressed his disillusionment with the dating scene in Lagos and emphasized his desire to find someone outside of this environment.
In his own words, Elozonam remarked, "Lagos is a cesspool. The person that you are having sxxx with is probably having sxxx with somebody that knows somebody that you know. So, I have often told myself that if Iām gonna get married, I will just go out and meet a village girl [laughs]."
Clarifying his statement, Elozonam clarified that by "village girl," he meant someone from a remote location outside the confines of Lagos, emphasizing his intention to seek a partner from a different social setting away from what he perceives as the complexities and entanglements of the city.
