Renowned rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, also known as Odumodublvck, recently recounted an interesting anecdote from the early stages of his career. The artist shared this amusing incident during a discussion on the Zero Conditions podcast, co-hosted by Motolani and Melody.
According to Odumodublvck, the peculiar occurrence transpired in 2017 when his musical journey was still in its nascent phase. He and Reeplay, his companion at the time, attended a show where they were slated to perform. The journey to the event was marked by an unfortunate incident involving Reeplay's black Amera car, which eventually had to be sold for N120,000 after a collision on the road.
Despite the setbacks, the duo pressed on and delivered a memorable performance at the show. However, to their surprise, the organizers presented them with an unconventional form of payment – a bottle of Hero beer. Odumodublvck humorously recalled, "I once performed for a bottle of Hero beer. The bottles of beer that were given to us weren’t even the planned payment. The owner gave it to us out of his generosity and also because he said our performance was great. This happened in 2017."
