The popular transgender personality, Jay Boogie, has finally addressed the allegations of scamming Nigerians by supposedly claiming to need a kidney transplant.
Initial reports suggested that Jay Boogie faced health challenges after undergoing a poorly executed BBL surgery. It was reported that he had suffered failed kidneys and urgently required a kidney transplant. Seeking support for his medical bills online, Jay Boogie faced accusations of attempting to scam Nigerians.
Taking to social media, Jay Boogie clarified that he never claimed to have failed kidneys; rather, he sought financial assistance for his medical expenses. He emphasized the authenticity of his health challenges, revealing that he had been relatively silent due to his recovery, having been discharged on November 28th.
In his detailed explanation, Jay Boogie recounted the timeline of events, including his BBL and Liposuction on October 30, 2023, complications leading to Sepsis and Acute kidney injury, dialysis treatments, and his subsequent discharge from Zenith Medical and Kidney Centre on November 18, 2023.
He clarified, "I NEVER POSTED I NEEDED KIDNEY TRANSPLANT, I only posted I needed donations for my hospital bills." Addressing the media pressure, he mentioned facing mental health challenges due to bullying and death threats, leading to his decision to go offline for privacy.
Jay Boogie affirmed, "I NEVER SCAMMED NIGERIANS, I NEVER LIED, AND I DID NOT DEFRAUD ANYONE. I HAD SEPSIS AND ACUTE KIDNEY INJURY, AND I WAS ON DIALYSIS." Expressing gratitude to those who supported him, he assured them of the authenticity of his situation and thanked them for their donations and well-wishes during his ordeal.
