Ace comedian, Basketmouth, has responded to the claim made by fellow comedian AY that he was humiliated at Basketmouth's wedding. AY had previously spoken about a 17-year-old beef he had with Basketmouth during an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo. In the interview, AY explained how he had attended Basketmouth's wedding but was denied entry because his name was not on the guest list, despite his wife's name being included.
Basketmouth, however, shared his own version of events during an appearance on Nedu's Honest Bunch podcast. He stated that neither AY nor his wife, Mabel, were invited to his wedding. Basketmouth clarified that he could not have invited the entire industry to his wedding and so had created a guest list that only included the names of his friends. As he did not consider AY to be a friend, he did not invite him or his wife.
In his own words: "AY is not my friend, I didn’t invite him nor his wife to my wedding, they just came themselves. I only invited my friends."
