Joseph Momodu, a fast-rising Nigerian movie star, has revealed that obtaining assistance in the movie industry is a daunting task. In an interview with Sunday Scope, Joseph shared his experience of being sabotaged and given stereotyped roles, which nearly led him to abandon the industry.

Joseph expressed his gratitude for God's mercy, saying that if not for His grace, he would have left the industry long ago since people are reluctant to provide support. He also highlighted how talented individuals are often brought down by those who feel threatened by them.

Additionally, Joseph addressed the issue of typecasting in Nollywood, stating that he used to be stereotyped as a lover boy, but he has convincingly portrayed other roles as well. He has played the roles of both a wicked and gullible husband, and this has enabled producers and directors to see the extent of his abilities, breaking his stereotype.

Despite the challenges, Joseph is grateful for the opportunities he has had and remains optimistic about his future in the industry.
