Renowned Nollywood actress, Halima Abubakar, has broken her silence following a court's decision to fine her N10 million for defaming the popular clergyman, Apostle Suleman.
Reports emerged on Monday that a Federal High Court had ruled against Abubakar's continued dissemination of defamatory remarks against Apostle Johnson Suleman, coupled with a directive for her to pay N10 million in damages.
The judge noted that despite being given the opportunity to defend herself, Abubakar opted not to do so. Consequently, she was compelled to remove her criticisms of the clergyman from her Instagram profile.
Halima recently posted a new picture on her Instagram profile, her first since the news broke, expressing gratitude for life.
Accompanying the photo, she wrote:
“Filled with gratitude and the gift of life.
Enjoy your holiday dearies
God is good”.
