Online personality and content creator Emmanuel Obruste, popularly known as GheGhe, has continued to make headlines after revealing that he has earned more than $30,000 from his self-styled “University of Wisdom and Understanding.” The fast-rising figure disclosed that his unique online platform has drawn an overwhelming audience of over 170,000 students who tuned in to his lectures, making him one of the most talked-about personalities in Nigeria’s social media space.

The revelation came to light in a viral post shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) by user @Olamide0fficial, who uploaded a video of GheGhe narrating his personal journey, challenges, and remarkable achievements. In the clip, GheGhe spoke passionately about his life story, describing himself as an orphan who has found purpose, recognition, and overwhelming support from Nigerians across the globe.

He proudly stated that he had set a new record in Nigeria, becoming the first individual to gather more than 170,000 live viewers during a single TikTok session, a feat he described as both historic and humbling. According to him, the engagement level during his TikTok lecture proved that his “University of Wisdom and Understanding” is a force in the online space, and he expressed deep gratitude for the love shown to him.

“Thank you so much Nigerians for the love. More than 170,000 people watched me live on TikTok. They watched my lectures today at GheGhe University of Wisdom and Understanding,” he said excitedly in the video. He further explained that his online university stands out because, as he humorously put it, “this is the only one where, when you graduate, women will fear you and think twice before asking you for money.”

Continuing, GheGhe added: “I’m now the first person in the history of Nigeria that 170,000 people watched live. I’m not a graduate, but by the grace of God, I founded a school. I am the first illiterate to establish a university in Nigeria. Nigerians, you love me this much—what did I do to deserve it? I’m an orphan, yet I have a home in Nigeria.”

Beyond the large audience, GheGhe disclosed that the gifts he received from his fans during the livestream were valued at over $30,000, a sum that further cemented the financial impact of his newfound fame. Despite not having formal education, he proudly declared himself as the pioneer illiterate to create an online university in Nigeria, a claim that sparked both admiration and controversy across social media platforms.

As expected, his bold claims and achievements stirred a wave of mixed reactions online. While some Nigerians hailed him as an entertainer and innovator, others questioned the seriousness of his “university” concept and criticized the way he encouraged fans to support him financially. Nevertheless, GheGhe has remained a trending figure, with many closely following his rise in the entertainment and digital space.
