The accomplished actress and mother of two shared a clip from the movie on her Instagram stories, revealing that she plans to bring it to fans' homes in the near future. Earlier this week, it was reported that Battle on Buka Street has set a new record for the highest-grossing Nollywood movie of all time, grossing 640 million naira and surpassing Akindele's previous record of 636 million naira with her 2020 movie, Omo Ghetto the Saga.
FilmOne, the distribution company for the movie, took to Instagram to celebrate the achievement, stating, "If the only competition you have is yourself was a person, it is clearly @funkejenifaakindele. What a Woman! What a Movement! What a Movie! What an Achievement!"
