Nollywood actress and politician, Funke Akindele, has disclosed why she left Twitter after losing the elections. Funke was defeated at her polling unit by the incumbent governor during the elections where she contested as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) deputy governorship candidate. A few days after losing the elections, she deleted all her posts related to her political career. Following her absence from Twitter, a curious fan inquired about her return to the app, and Funke responded that people insult others on the app, and that's why she had stayed off.
