Reality star, Victoria Adeyele, popularly known as Vee, expresses profound gratitude to renowned Nollywood actress and producer, Funke Akindele.
Vee had the unique privilege of showcasing her acting talent in Akindele’s newly premiered mini-series, “She Must Be Obeyed,” which also stars esteemed actors like Patience Ozokwor, Lateef Adedimeji, and Rachael Okonkwo.
Vee’s journey to this remarkable opportunity began in January 2021 when she initiated contact with Funke Akindele via direct message on social media.
In the heartfelt message, Vee conveyed her admiration for Akindele’s work and her desire to step into the world of acting inspired by the “Jenifa Diary” actress.
Vee wrote;
“Good evening, Aunty Funke. Hope you’re well. I just got a random feeling that I should shoot my shot with you. I believe I’m a good actress.
“I don’t have much experience, but I’m a fast learner and I’m hardworking. I grew up watching you in movies, and I’m very inspired by how you made yourself a huge brand. I’d love if you consider me for anything you have going on this year.
“You won’t regret it. Have a lovely night. God bless.”
To her delight, Funke Akindele responded positively.
“Hi my darling. Just seeing your tweet. Why not? Let’s hook up once I get into Lagos. Cool?,” Funke Akindele replied.
Over the next few years, Vee’s passion and commitment to acting paid off as she was cast in “She Must Be Obeyed,” alongside a stellar ensemble of Nollywood talents.
The mini-series marks a significant milestone in Vee’s burgeoning acting career.
She took to Twitter to express her gratitude.
