Nigerian singer, Adedamola Oyinlola Adefolahan, better known as Fireboy DML, has announced that he is collaborating on a new Extended Play (EP) with his fellow artist, Lekan Osifeso Jnr., who is widely recognized by his stage name Lojay. This exciting news was revealed during an interview with The Beat 99.9 FM in Lagos.
During the interview, Fireboy shared his enthusiasm about the project, stating, “I’m working on a joint EP with Lojay. We have a very great relationship in the studio.” This collaboration is highly anticipated, given both artists' impressive track records and their chemistry in the studio.
Fireboy DML, who recently released his fourth studio album titled “Adedamola,” also spoke about his experience working with seasoned Nigerian afrobeat artist, singer-songwriter, and drummer Bisade Ologunde, popularly known as Lagbaja. Fireboy collaborated with Lagbaja on the song “Back N Forth,” and he had high praise for the artist’s meticulous approach to his craft.
Fireboy commented, “Lagbaja is the most meticulous artiste I ever worked with. I wished he had taken his mask off but he wore it all through our time in the studio. I learnt a lot from him during the session.” His admiration for Lagbaja’s professionalism highlights the respect and appreciation he has for his fellow artists.
