Family recently announced the funeral arrangements for the late actor, scheduling his burial for May 17th, 2024, in his hometown in Enugu state, a move that garnered significant attention.

Several keen-eyed fans observed that the obituary poster did not include the descriptor 'husband', leading to speculation.

Prior to his demise, Junior Pope was married to Jennifer Awele, with whom he shares three sons, although rumors of their separation had circulated.

In response to the viral burial posters, Junior’s family took to Instagram to address the matter, asserting that the poster in circulation was not authorized by them. They acknowledged the need for corrections and appealed to the public for assistance in taking down the erroneous posters.

The statement released by the family reads:

“Dear Junior Pope Fans, I wanted to bring to your attention that the current poster of our late brother Junior Pope displayed needs some corrections. The family has requested your assistance in bringing it down. They mentioned that the revised version will be released soon. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation”.

It is important to note that the actor tragically passed away a few weeks ago alongside some of his crew members in a devastating boat accident.
