The first baby mama of Afrobeat dancehall artist Davido, Sophia Momodu, has recently made an announcement regarding her intentions to change her daughter's surname. This news has sparked concern among some fans of Sophia Momodu, as she revealed her plan to remove the Adeleke name from her daughter Imade.
The disclosure came about when Sophia Momodu replied to messages from some fans on her Snapchat account. In a post on her Snapchat page, Sophia expressed her eagerness to change Imade's name. She emphasized that she has been the sole caretaker and provider for her daughter, proudly stating that she plays both the roles of a mother and a father. Sophia asserted that no one can criticize her choices in raising her daughter or making decisions for her.
Through her posts, Sophia Momodu seemingly implies that Davido has not been fulfilling his responsibilities as a father, suggesting that he is a deadbeat dad. In one of her messages, she wrote, "Can't wait to change her last name...I still think Momodu is great as I'm mum and dad."
It is worth noting that a few weeks ago, Sophia Momodu, expressed her frustration on Twitter regarding men financially bullying women and the unfavorable laws in Nigeria for children and women. Although she did not directly mention Davido's name, some social media users have associated her comments with the popular musician, Davido, known for his hit song "Unavailable."
