Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and X owner, has disclosed his unconventional wish for his gravestone inscription. Musk, known for his candidness, revealed on his X page that he has never sought therapy and wants it immortalized on his gravestone. His statement simply reads: “Put ‘Never Went to Therapy’ on my gravestone.”
This declaration follows a tweet on January 29, where Musk responded to a video by film director Wernher Herzog, saying, “He’s dead right. Please put ‘Never went to therapy’ on my gravestone.”
In a related vein, Nigerian music sensation, Teniola Apata, also known as Teni, expressed her own posthumous wish last year. She desires her family and loved ones to engrave “She lived life on her own terms” on her grave. In an episode of the Tea With Tay podcast hosted by actor Temisan Emmanuel Ahwieh, Teni emphasized the importance of self-expression and living authentically.
According to Teni: “Expressing yourself is very important. The people that judge you, they will die too. So, they would die with their own stories. You die with your own story. I’m living my life because this is my terms to let the world know who I am.
“It’s my terms to sing when I’m feeling down, when I’m feeling up. It’s my terms to express myself. I’m not going to be here forever. None of us are leaving this world alive.
“On my grave, I want them to write, ‘She lived life on her own terms.’ Yes, I want to die happy. I’m going to die empty.”
