Multichoice DStv has officially announced the termination of the broadcast of Emmanuel TV, the religious network founded by the late T.B. Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN). This decision comes in the wake of a controversial three-part documentary by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) that made serious allegations against the deceased clergyman.
The BBC documentary investigated allegations of atrocities and sexual crimes committed by T.B. Joshua against his disciples, featuring interviews with at least 30 purported former members and workers of SCOAN.
Multichoice DStv displayed a message notifying viewers of the impending discontinuation, scheduled for January 17, 2024. The message stated, โDear viewer, please note that Emmanuel TV will exit on the 17th of January 2024. Thank you for watching.โ This decision not only affects the association with Multichoice but also leads to the termination of services on StarSat and other pay-TV platforms.
