Popular On Air Personality (OAP) Oladotun Ojuolape, widely known as Dotun, is entangled in a contentious custody battle with his estranged wife Taiwo’s brother, the renowned singer D’banj. Recently, the legal aspect of this custody dispute took center stage when a judge delivered a ruling favoring Dotun for shared child custody while simultaneously imposing certain restrictions on Dotun's public statements concerning D’banj.
Reacting to the court's decision, Dotun voiced his thoughts and frustrations on social media. He accused D’banj of having made his life unbearable during his marriage to Taiwo.
Furthermore, Dotun shared court documents that validated the judge's decision to grant him divided child custody with Taiwo.
The Chief District Court of the Federal Capital Territory at Wuse Zone 2, Abuja, issued a restraining order against Dotun, explicitly prohibiting him from making any defamatory posts about D’banj on social media or any other public platform. The court also mandated the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Force Intelligence Bureau, to investigate a criminal complaint filed by D’banj against Dotun within a two-week timeframe and report back to the court.
Dotun expressed his frustration via an Instagram post, emphasizing his yearning to see his children and accusing D’banj of embroiling him in a power struggle.
In his words: "If only you all obeyed court orders too. We won’t be here. I have kept quiet because you asked for mediation. I know and I was so sure, you know very well what I was saying and I wasn’t wrong but yet again the Power game. I have still not seen my kids. For me, that’s the goal.
