In his own words;

“I can still see myself sitting there with my mom, watching the big men in their Peugeot 504s and Mercedes 230s come to buy akara.”

He candidly admitted that he secretly nurtured a wish for someone to recognize his plight and extend a helping hand.

“I’d think, maybe this person would just look at me and say, ‘Hey, take this, I know you could use it,” he added.

These early experiences etched a profound impression on Don Jazzy’s journey. He openly acknowledged his skepticism toward individuals who claim to have undergone hardship, asserting that he believes many have not genuinely encountered adversity.

Now an accomplished figure in the music industry, Don Jazzy maintains a strong connection to his roots. He revealed that his own past compels him to be actively involved in aiding others.

“I’ve reached a point where I can’t meet someone and not offer some help or do something for the community,” he shared.

He underscored the deep sense of responsibility he feels to leave a positive imprint on everyone he encounters.

“It deeply concerns me if I am unable to leave a positive impact on people,” he elaborated.
