During his appearance on the Ventes Rap show, Asika faced probing questions about Davido's apparent lack of musical collaborations with industry heavyweights like Burna Boy and Wizkid. The interviewer directly asked, "How come we don’t see Davido featuring Burna Boy or Wizkid?"
In response, Davido’s manager skillfully sidestepped the question, shifting the focus to the collaborative efforts of other renowned musicians. He highlighted the existing collaborations between Burna Boy and Wizkid, as well as Davido's partnerships with artists like Kizz Daniel and Olamide.
Asika emphasized the synergy and interconnectedness within the music industry, underscoring his collaborative relationship with Davido. He stated, “There have been collaborations, Burna Boy and Wizkid have a song, Davido and Kizz Daniel have a song, Davido and Olamide have a song, Asake is on David’s album, so the big artistes in Nigeria work, they might not collaborate as often but they do. Collaboration is one of the major things that have pushed Afrobeats to where it is.”
