Nigerian Afrobeats artist, Davido, has recently shared that he practices prayer before every live performance that he does. This revelation came out in a feature published by Forbes, where the DMW leader talked about the latest edition of Afrobeats All-Star: Pioneering The New Global Sound.
During the interview, Davido mentioned that his crew is fully aware of his habit of entrusting his performances to God before hitting the stage. He credits his father, Adedeji Adeleke, for teaching him a lot about Christianity and living a modest life.
The singer also shared that he gained significant insights from observing his father in the workplace, listening to him on the phone, and witnessing his approach to life. According to Davido, his father is a humble, principled, and strong Christian who has served as a great role model for him.
“I learned so much from being around my dad, watching him in the office, hearing him on the phone, seeing how he handled life. Before I step on any stage, my team knows not to mess with my prayers,” he said.
