Famous Afrobeat singer, Davido recounts how he was responsible for introducing the British-Nigerian producer, Maleek Berry to Wizkid after running from home to London.
The singer who recently married his wife in a grand wedding made this known in an interview on the +44 podcast show.
According to Davido, he ran from his father’s home in Nigeria to the United Kingdom where he made friends with Maleek.
The record label boss added that he was responsible for the connection between his colleague, Wizkid and the British producer.
“The first place I went to when I ran from home was London. London is like a second home for me. I am the first to know Maleek Berry, I introduced Maleek Berry to Wizkid. From there, I came back to Nigeria,” he said partly.
He went on to explain how the meeting in London helped shape the music collaborations and connections that followed.
Davido emphasized the importance of his relationships in the music industry and how they have influenced his career.
He also touched on other aspects of his journey and experiences in the interview, giving fans a deeper insight into his life and career.
