Nigerian Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, is making waves beyond borders, receiving official recognition as an ‘Outstanding Georgia Citizen.’
This prestigious honor was bestowed upon him during a U.S. state of Georgia General Assembly meeting, attended by members of the Georgia Senate and Georgia House of Representatives.
In the meeting the speaker had introduced him specially, as a US born citizen and conferring upon him the special title for his addition to the state.
The speaker said;
“We have a special guest today, I’d like to introduce David Adedeji Adeleke also known as Davido, a Nigerian American Afrobeats artist who was born in Atlanta a Georgia native, he’s up in the gallery.
He is a three time nominee of the Grammy award, the BET recipient of the Best International Act, recently performed at our State Farm arena and sold it out, boosting our economy right.
He is a global artist who is promoting fine arts and entertainment which is growing our economy”
Davido showed off his certificate as an ‘Outstanding Georgia citizen’, which affords him the courtesy to be treated as an ambassador for the state across other regions and nations.
