Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer David Adedeji Adeleke, professionally known as Davido, faced disappointment as he did not secure victory in any of his three Grammy Awards nominations. The defeat came shortly after his nominations in three distinct categories, including Best Global Album for his latest release, “Timeless.” The other two nods were for Best African Performance with his track “Unavailable” and Best Global Music Performance for “Feel.” This marked Davido's inaugural experience being nominated for three Grammy Awards, a moment he celebrated on Twitter with the post: “3 nominations at the Grammys!! Delay is not Denial!! 🏆🌎”
Despite his optimism, the Grammy Awards ceremony held in Los Angeles on February 4, 2024, resulted in Davido losing out in all three nominated categories.
