Embattled celebrity barman, Cubana Chief Priest, has expressed regret over his legal battle with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and urged social media users to steer clear of any form of trouble.
The EFCC had leveled accusations of Naira abuse against him, leading to a three-count charge filed on April 16. Despite his plea of not guilty after the charges were read, the legal proceedings ensued.
Subsequently, Judge Kehinde Ogundare granted him bail in the amount of N10 million, requiring two responsible sureties of equivalent value.
However, on Thursday, May 2, all parties agreed to resolve the matter outside of court during their meeting. Consequently, the trial was postponed until June 5 to allow the settlement report to be heard.
Following the disclosure that he and the EFCC had opted to settle his case of Naira abuse outside of court, the social media influencer made a declaration via an Instagram post on Thursday.
Reflecting on his ordeal, Cubana Chief Priest advised others against engaging in conflicts with the EFCC, citing the immense pressure he faced since the incident began.
“Court day !!! Problem No Good Oh, @officialefcc 🦅 No Dey Joke Oh !!!! Better Stay Away From Their Wahala, I’m SUre You Will Not Love To Pass Through This Kinda Stress I’m Passing Through,” he wrote.
