[p]British singer and songwriter, Craig David, has openly shared that he has chosen to embrace celibacy for a duration of one year, citing various traumas he has experienced from engaging in one-night stands.
[/p][p]The 42-year-old artist, formerly known for his more promiscuous lifestyle, has undergone a significant personal transformation and currently refrains from participating in any romantic relationships.
[/p][p]Craig, who famously sang about his encounters in his hit single "7 Days," where he boasted about "making love on Wednesday, and then on Thursday, and Friday and Saturday," revealed that he has abstained from intimacy with women for approximately a year.

[/p][p]In a recent interview with Louis Theroux on his podcast, Craig David expressed his belief that engaging in one-night stands can lead to "many different traumas." He further conveyed his hope that his decision to abstain from sex will enable him to approach his next romantic relationship from a mentally and emotionally healthy standpoint, aiming to establish a connection from a "good place."
[/p][p]During the conversation, Craig elaborated by saying, "Sometimes you gotta pull it back, man. I’m 42 years old now, things are different. If we can’t deep dive, if I can’t have a conversation and at the same time laugh like crazy with you, and see the beauty from within you, then we’re just gonna be doing the same game that I’ve been playing since day one. I don’t want that anymore."
[/p][p]In his younger years, Craig David had been involved in a series of short-term relationships but had refrained from pursuing anything serious due to the fear of experiencing emotional pain, similar to what he had encountered at the age of 16. Reflecting on that period, he shared, "I had never felt anything like that before. My heart kind of closed down."
